First film festival on protection of environment in Montenegro in our production!

The festival was successfully held at the Culture Centre of Danilovgrad, in Nikšić Theatre, UDG Podgorica, the Chronicle of Bar, in prestigious Hotel Splendid in Bečići in the period from 14th to 16th December 2017, as evidenced by numerous guests from abroad, newspaper articles in the Montenegrin media and the media in the region, the number of visitors and many other indicators. At this year's edition of the Festival 93 films are shown, 19 out of which in two competition categories - category Ecology (10 films) and the Ecology of the Soul (9 films). The promotional tourist films (60 films) will be evaluated by the students of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Donja Gorica. Within the accompanying programme, 14 films will be screened.

In addition, festival films will be screened in almost all primary and secondary schools in Montenegro in January and February 2018, by arrangement and cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Montenegro. The Ministry estimates that the films will see close to 40,000 students of the listed educational institutions! The festival was also supported by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism and the Environmental Protection Agency. The festival was opened by a permanent UN system coordinator and permanent representative of UNDP in Montenegro, Fiona McCluney while Prince Nikola Petrović closed the third edition of GMIFF.
